Warranty, Replacement, Cancellation & Refund Policy

Product Warranty

At The Willow Company, every cricket bat is crafted with precision, care, and heritage, from the finest English Willow, seasoned and shaped to meet the highest standards of performance. We stand by the quality of our craftsmanship and materials, and we ensure every product leaving our workshop meets our strict quality standards.

However, as wood is a natural product, certain minor irregularities can occur as part of its natural grain and structure. Our warranty policy ensures fair assessment and genuine support in all such cases.

Cricket Bats:

We offer a 1-year manufacturer’s replacement warranty that covers manufacturing defects only. If a replacement is approved, the remaining warranty period of the original product will continue to apply to the replaced product.

In case of a replacement, only the main product will be replaced. Any additional accessories or services will incur extra charges if required again.

Not Covered Under Warranty:

  • Damage from improper use, poor timing, edge hits, or toe shots (yorkers).
  • Bats not properly oiled, knocked-in, or modified post-purchase.
  • Damage due to extreme weather (moisture, excessive heat, or damp conditions).
  • Damage from non-leather, composite, or bowling machine balls.
  • Excessive bowling machine use within the first 6 months of purchase.

Covered Under Warranty:

  • Manufacturing defect in the handle fitting (if loose or improperly fixed).
  • Breakage of bat handle (covered only if shoulder and blade remain intact).
  • Internal stress or storm damage (covered only within the first 6 months of purchase, subject to expert verification).

Important Notes:

  • Bat appearance naturally changes over time — cracks or wear marks are normal and not signs of defect.
  • Regular oiling and knocking prolong a bat’s life.
  • Minor cracks should be repaired locally and do not affect performance.
  • Bat lifespan depends on usage frequency and maintenance.

Protective Gear, Apparel & Luggage

We warrant all non-bat products against defects in material or workmanship for 30 days from the date of purchase.

Not Covered Under Warranty:

  • Damage from rough use or accidents.
  • Wear and tear from regular play or washing.
  • Fading, bleeding, or natural colour breakdown of leather and fabrics.
  • Branding/logo wear due to prolonged use.
  • Improper care or washing not as per instructions.

Covered Under Warranty:

  • Defects in material or workmanship verified by our team.

How to Claim Warranty:

Email us at catchus@thewillowcompany.com with:

  • Order ID
  • Clear pictures of the product
  • Reason for claim

After initial approval, ship the product to U-1/382, Tilak Park , Sadar , Meerut Cantt 250001 Uttar Pradesh at your own cost. Our experts will assess the product and contact you if needed.

If approved, a replacement will be issued. If the original item is discontinued, a similar equivalent product will be sent.

Processing Time:

Allow 10–14 business days from receipt of the product for claim resolution. Customers bear both-way shipping costs for warranty processing.

Product Replacement

We aim for every product from The Willow Company to deliver satisfaction from the first knock to the last match. If you feel your product needs replacement, please ensure the following terms are met.

Replacement Policy:

  • Products may be replaced within 7 days of delivery for reasons covered under warranty.
  • Customised products (bats, apparel, or gear) are non-replaceable, except in the case of manufacturing defects.
  • Minor variations in specifications or craftsmanship are normal and not valid grounds for replacement (as all products are handmade).
  • Default specifications apply when customization details are not provided.
  • Bat weight may fluctuate slightly due to willow’s natural hygroscopic nature.
  • Ping and pickup are subjective and not guaranteed grounds for replacement.
  • Minor cracks from knocking or usage are normal.
  • Proof of purchase is mandatory.
  • Product must be unused, unaltered, untampered, and in saleable condition.
  • Stickers/tags must remain intact.
  • A product can be replaced only once.
  • Replacements depend on stock availability; if discontinued, a similar model will be provided.

How to Claim Replacement:

  • Order ID
  • Product images
  • Reason for replacement

After approval, ship the product to U-1/382, Tilak Park , Sadar , Meerut Cantt 250001 Uttar Pradesh. All replacement products undergo a quality check before approval.

Processing Time:

Average processing period: 14 working days.
Customers bear shipping costs for sending and receiving replaced items.

Product Cancellation

We understand that sometimes plans change. To help, we’ve made our cancellation process simple and transparent.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Orders may be cancelled within 4 hours of placement.
  • Once manufacturing begins, cancellation is not possible.
  • For small order modifications, please email us at catchus@thewillowcompany.com within the 4-hour window.
  • Custom orders (team gear, personalised bats, etc.) are non-cancellable once placed.
  • Orders cannot be cancelled once packed or shipped.
  • Any cost incurred during cancellation will be deducted from the refundable amount.
  • Refunds can be issued to the original payment source or as The Willow Company store credit.

Processing Steps:

  1. Email your cancellation request to catchus@thewillowcompany.com with your Order ID and reason.
  2. Our team will verify eligibility and confirm status.
  3. Refunds (if applicable) will be initiated within four working days post-approval.

Note: The time taken for the refund to reflect in your account may vary depending on your bank or payment platform.

Refund Policy

Refunds are applicable only for cancelled orders under our cancellation terms.

  • Shipping charges are non-refundable once an order is shipped.
  • Gateway/handling fees will be deducted from refunds.
  • Refunds may be issued to the original payment source or as store credit.
  • The Willow Company cannot guarantee exact refund reflection timelines due to varying bank/platform processes.
  • No refunds (partial or full) are applicable outside these conditions.

Coupon Code & Free Item Policy

  • Coupon codes apply only to eligible products on https://thewillowcompany.com/.
  • Free accessories (like bat covers, gloves, etc.) are applicable only with corresponding product purchases.
  • No warranty applies to free or discounted items obtained through coupon codes.
  • Shipping for free items must be borne by the customer.
  • The Willow Company reserves the right to cancel coupons or free items in case of misuse or policy abuse.
